All full-time regular employees are eligible for vacation. After 1 year of eligible service, you are entitled to 10 vacation days each year. After 5 years of eligible service, you are entitled to 15 vacation days each year.
Paid vacation time can be used in minimum increments of 4 hours or ½ day. Employees fill out a Vacation Request Form. Vacation pay is calculated using the previous year’s average wages.
Unused vacation is forfeited at the end of the year. Employees may request in writing that the unused vacation is paid in compensation for time already earned.
Upon voluntary termination of employment, employees will be paid for unused vacation time that has been earned through the last day of work if two weeks notice is given. However, Terra Renewal management reserves the right to withhold payment of unused vacation time to any employee, depending on the circumstances surrounding the termination of employment.
